The Range: Great Sweaters Under-$150

Oct 24, 2022

Sweater season is a great time of year. Unfortunately, sweaters can be pretty pricey.  And while I love a gorgeous knit as much as the next person, I have limits.  Here are some stylish sweaters that won’t break the bank.

The acorn color of this Madewell sweater is gorgeous.  The weave pattern is so chic.  It’s just a beautiful, relaxed sweater to pair with jeans or dress it up by wearing it with a satin skirt.  Also in plus.

How great is the button detail on this LOFT sweater?  The ruffle accent on the neckline is also nice.  It’s a fresh, white sweater that brings a little something extra.

Currently pregnant?  Seraphine has a similar style that I loved so much, I bought it.  I just sized down for my post-pregnancy figure.  It’s designed for nursing as well.

For the office, this Nic + Zoe wrap-front sweater hits all the right notes.  The sleek style and decorative buckle give this basic sweater a bit of punch.  Prefer the style without the buckle?  Nordstrom offers a similar style.  Plus-size?  The Nic + Zoe sweater also comes in sizes 1x-3x.

Need a sweater to wear with leggings?  This oversized tunic from BP is a great option.  It comes in three colors, but this vibrant olive is my favorite.

This cable knit cardigan could find a home in any wardrobe.  Whether you like classics or trendy pieces, this gorgeous cardi with gold-button accents is a piece that anyone could love.  And it comes in plus-sizes.

Hey Abra, the link on the Madewell sweater is broken.

I also strongly recommend Quince (onequince.com) – very high quality but extremely good prices. I basically live in this sweater right now: https://www.onequince.com/women/baby-alpaca-wool-diamond-stitch-crew?color=light-grey&gender=women&tracker=collection__Alpaca%20Sweaters

To the point where I bought a second one because I was so worried about my toddler messing it up. They also have the best sweatshirts.

I learned about the brand Modern Citizen from this blog, and they make the sweater that is my favorite sweater ever by far: https://www.moderncitizen.com/products/iris-off-shoulder-sweater-black. I own both black and gray, and I’d buy a white one in a heartbeat if they ever offer it.

Also second Quince for good quality at good prices.

Beauty Review: Bondi Boost

As I age, I notice many changes in my body. Most are fine. Some are frustrating. Like many women, I lost a lot of hair in my postpartum phase. Being anemic for more than a year after, it didn’t grow back in to its former glory. So I’ve tried any number of shampoos, pills and […]

The Find: Shirts That Don’t Gape

I remember when Rochelle Behrens launched The Shirt — a button-down blouse with anti-gape technology (a patented internal button that keeps the look smooth). The idea seemed brilliant, but at the time, my bust didn’t require an extra button. One baby later, I understand the need for some extra security.
