The Find: A Dress Too Good to Pass Up

May 5, 2022

Being pregnant has limited my summer purchases.  I see cute misses size things and feel a little wistful that I won’t be able to wear them.  But this dress…ladies, this dress…it’s so good, I bought it anyway.

Sure, I’ll be looking at it in my closet until *fingers crossed* next summer.  But it’s so fantastic, I’ll be happy to wait.

What did I tell you?  This Sierra Embroidered Cotton Dress from Vita Grace is drop.dead.gorgeous.  The embroidery is sublime.  The style is summery and elegant.  I did not even hesitate to pull the trigger.  It’s a gamble, but I am more than willing to roll the dice (esp. for $125).

Vita Grace is a UK brand that specializes in light, ethereal pieces that are perfect for summer.  The pieces sell out quickly, because they’re made in limited runs.  This mint-green dress, made a little oversized, also caught my eye.

My one disappointment in this line is that the sizes only run two US 10, maybe US 12.  I looked around for something similar in a plus-size option, and there wasn’t something that fit well.  I did find this Eloquii dress in white eyelet, that is pretty fantastic.

Gorgeous. I am bookmarking that site for future purchases.I am getting my colors “done” soon so I am delaying clothing purchases until then.

Just to flag for anyone thinking about buying this dress – the online reviews for this company are TERRIBLE. This is a gorgeous dress and I very nearly bought it, but once I saw the reviews, I decided not to risk it.

I’m wondering if you received it and if it’s actually nice? There’s a whole insta saying this site is a scam and is repackaged Shein clothing? Similar other reviews online.

A few months ago, my husband killed two of my plants. I was out of town for several weeks, and while I was away, he apparently forgot that plants need water to live. So when I returned, my snake plant and my Calamondin tree were both dead, while his braided money tree continued to thrive. […]

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
