I have spent the last two months wading through piles of maternity clothes, only to be hideously disappointed. As a result, I have turned to buying larger sizes in some of my existing pieces on Poshmark. But there are some things that need to be purchased fresh, and this week, let’s talk about the best of those purchases. The pieces that have brought me comfort (and maybe a little bit of joy) this spring.
I spotted these Moonlight Easy Pajamas on an influencer who was wearing them under a blazer to a job interview. That aside, there was something about their relaxed glamour that made me rush to Nordstrom to pick them up.
The traditional Moonlight pajamas are wonderful (and currently 40% off), the Easy pajamas offer the same level of comfort but look less like pajamas. It’s like they took everything that was great about the pajamas — soft fabric, a great cut — and made loungewear. I feel like I should be strolling through a Nancy Meyers movie when I wear them. (Just add cashmere cardigan.)
I bought the black pair first, and a pair in the grey as well. The other colors don’t have the relaxed but pulled together look I want in a loungewear set. Not that it happens a lot, but it is nice to be able to drive to get a coffee or walk out to get the mail (after adding a casual jacket) without feeling like I left the house in my pajamas.

Back in 2016, I loved Isabella Oliver, a British brand (that ships to the US at least), for maternity clothing. I found a lot of work-appropriate clothing through them (esp with a non-maternity blazer thrown on top). They’re just a bit pricy but I gave them to my sister and she returned them in excellent shape so they were durable. A quick look shows they may have gone a little more casual in this post-pandemic world, but I’d still give them a look.
Would love a maternity wear post – even if it is just, all maternity wear is terrible, do this instead. I’m pregnant with kid #3 and still haven’t cracked the code.
Great find! I share your enthusiasm for lounge wear that can be worn for limited occasions beyond the house. Taking out the trash is my benchmark. 🙂
