The Find: A Bit of Bohemian Style

Apr 7, 2022

Everything old is new again.  From low rise jeans to boho-chic, the styles of our youth have returned.  And this top from Boden gives you a bit of the past in a look that is perfect for spring/summer.

The embroidery on this Notched Neck Top is perfectly chic.  The top is 100% cotton (which you don’t see everyday), and cut to be relaxed without being oversized.  Need a little color this spring?  The top also comes in yellow and pale blue.  Sizes 0-22.

Also from the Boden throwback section — these bright Huarache sandals, and this wide-stripe sweater.  And if you like your throwbacks more late-2000s than late-1990s, try this bright pink blazer.

I really like this. I like that even though it has a Boho vibe, it has a nice shape to it. I like the idea of the white version with white jeans, reminiscent of Baby in Dirty Dancing. But no Keds!

This summer I’m definitely feeling those Free People vibes, it feels like the perfect way to get back to normal clothes without the rigidity of tight or fitted styles. Flowy tops over denim shorts are the best.

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]

The Find: My Best Workout Shorts

For eight years, I have worn the same workout shorts. Every year, an influencer tries to sell me new shorts. I order them. I try them on. They pale in comparison to the shorts I already own. I return them.
