The Range: The Best of Target

Mar 21, 2022

Confession time, I avoid Target as much as possible.  I have no self-control in a Target.  I go in for toothpaste and Ziploc bags, I leave $150 poorer.  So when on the firm’s assistants mentioned she picked up her cute top at Target, I was in a bit of a predicament.  But it gives me the opportunity to share some fantastic, and affordable, styles (most also in plus).

If it’s still a little chilly where you are, this dress gives you a cool-weather style in a spring color.

This striped, lightweight sweater with a frill-hem on the sleeve is a great three-season piece.

This fantastic belt will jazz up any dress or belt any cardigan in style.

The ruffle sleeve is a dramatic accent on this neutral-printed blouse.

This short sleeve, lace-trim dress is a great piece for spring and summer.

Not super exciting but I get all my tanks from Target. Yes they are maternity and I haven’t been pregnant in 5+ years but they don’t stretch out so I use them to sleep in and they work really well for this long torsoed gal https://www.target.com/p/maternity-tank-top—isabel-maternity-by-ingrid—38–isabel–8482–white-m/-/A-52318968

I love these maternity tanks! I’m currently pregnant for the 2nd time, and tanks I bought 3 years for 1st pregnancy ( and continued to wear for the last 3 years) are still holding up decently. Finally started to replace them with this pregnancy, and quality is still great!

Abra, don’t miss this amazing Hatch diffusion line piece. Its a flattering top for pregnancy and post-partum and its excellent quality (washes and wears beautifully, even a year on). https://www.target.com/p/the-nines-by-hatch-maternity-elbow-sleeve-off-the-shoulder-ponte-top-black/-/A-81828481?preselect=81451507#lnk=sametab

As someone who easily overheats, I love that first dress!

I also avoid target as much as I can too. I bought a card and wrapping paper from the grocery store to avoid going to the target in the same shopping center.

Loved this white dress and went to Target to give it a whirl…very pretty and higher quality than I typically expect there. I ended up not buying because the fabric is a little too sheer for my taste. It’s not terrible, but does require a careful balance of skintone with bra color [the bra that I consider fairly nude on my skin showed through very strongly]. There is a built-in slip, but it stops visibly around mid-thigh. I didn’t notice it in the photo at first, but it was noticeable when I tried the dress on, and now that I know it’s there I can see it in the photo. YMMV depending on your own skin tone and your tolerance for opacity/sheerness. It is so pretty, I wish it had worked for me. In particular I loved the sleeves – just enough puff to feel on-trend but not so much that I felt like I was wearing a costume.

A few months ago, my husband killed two of my plants. I was out of town for several weeks, and while I was away, he apparently forgot that plants need water to live. So when I returned, my snake plant and my Calamondin tree were both dead, while his braided money tree continued to thrive. […]

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
