Pants. I have pants on the brain. Why? Because none of mine currently fit. And as I contemplate what pants can help me get through the 4-6 weeks of pregnancy (because maternity pants sag, but my regular size is too small), these relaxed poplin pants caught my eye.
These Lou & Grey poplin pants are perfect for casual workplaces or weekend errands. The fit is very relaxed. The fabric is light and airy. And the wide drawstring is comfortable, and easily hidden under a shirt.
For a great casual Friday look, I would pair these pants with this floral blouse and this marled 3/4 sleeve cardigan. I also love these pants with this mixed-stripe sweater (so bright and fun for spring).
These pants run XXS to XL, or 00 to 16, according to the size chart. I found them stretchy enough that you might be able to wear them if you’re between 16 and 18. Plus-size? Try these similar Alfred Dunner pants.

The target maternity thick yoga-like pants(Ingrid and Isabel) were the best fitting pants I had and I had an enormous belly. Neutral color blouse, one of my regular blazers, leggings, my chicest jewelry and flats became my go-to work look. Zara also makes great billowy blouses that also went well my leggings!
Gap demi or low band maternity jeans were the best! Comfy and didn’t sag at this phase of pregnancy and way more comfortable than the over-the-belly ones later on.
It was by no means a perfect solution – but I used a hair tie looped through the button hole and around the button to keep my pants working for me until maternity pants made more sense (I also kept my pregnancy secret for a long time and keeping my normal wardrobe as long as possible was part of my strategy!). I also made it work for work pants as well.
Sadly, all my pants are really high waisted, so it won’t work. Belly Band didn’t work either.
H&M has a pretty decent maternity line- got some linen blend capris for the summer there
