My Post-Christmas Sales and Picks

Dec 27, 2021

Now that the holiday season is winding down, retailers are readying their stockrooms for spring deliveries.  I’ve sorted through some of my favorite retailers for sale-priced pieces that are worth your time.  Here’s the best of what I found.

Top Picks. Malachite Sphere Necklace // Mini Cord Hoops

Shopbop // Extra 30%-off sale items, code BYE2021.  This sale must be shopped by size.  No use falling in love with an item only to discover it’s sold out in your size.

Top Picks. Lee Matthews Cashmere Cardigan // Yummie Thong Bodysuit // OPT Sweetheart Neckline Top

Best Affordable Find. Madewell Stacking Rings

Best Splurge Find. Isabel Marant Puff Sleeve Sweater

J.CREW // 50%-0ff sale items with code BIGSALE.  Many items are available in tall, petite, and plus.

Top Picks. Wool Stadium Coat // Cableknit Mockneck Sweater // Crepe Wrap Top (don’t sleep on the rust color)

Best Affordable Find. Dainty Toggle Bracelet

Ann Taylor // 50% off sale items, no code necessary.

I have a Bernardo packable puffer from two years ago and it is my favorite jacket. Warm enough for trips to Michigan at Christmas and plenty warm for winters in DC. Looks good with jeans, over dresses, and with duck boots and leggings. I get so many compliments and my best friend even asked me if it was Lululemon the first time she saw it. It packs decently small, as well.

This weekend, I got two hours to myself for the first time in months. Really to myself. My child was asleep. My dogs were asleep. Kyle was off playing cards with his friends. My house was clean, and there was nothing else to do but sit in my bed and scroll Instagram. It was glorious. […]

The Counter: The Post-Product Era

When I was in my 20s, I bought every trendy nail polish, eye color, and lip gloss.  Sure, I could only wear them on the weekends, but why not wear emerald green liner?  In my 30s, I became enamored with skincare and took every “must-have” product for a spin.  But in my 40s, my skin […]
