Next week, I begin hybrid work, meaning I can be called into the office for meetings any day. This means that I need to up my daily attire a bit. And this outfit makes use of some pieces that I already own to create a fabulous business casual look.
This Pinterest outfit is neutral, cozy and would work in almost any office (depending on the day). Add in some smoking hot accessories and a little bit of makeup, and this outfit gets it done. Here’s how to recreate it.
Sweater // J.Crew is coming back with the classics we all need. This roll neck sweater in a soft grey is awesome. You can pair it with jeans or leggings or dress it up with pencil skirt. The sweater comes in six colors and runs up to 3x. Looking for a less expensive option? Daily Ritual has a boucle version that is cozy and chic.
Pants // These IRO Maynard pants are the grown-up version of my favorite Athleta Skyline pants (sold out in all but plus-size). For a more casual option, these Madewell pants have a cargo look. I also like these plaid paperbag pants from Zappos.
Not feeling the paperbag waist? Reiss makes a slim leg stone pant. These Jones New York bootcut pants are also great.
Shoes // When you have a casual outfit, a solid, professional shoe can lift it up. In this case, these MM LaFleur snakeskin shoes are sublime. Looking for something more affordable? Try these snakeskin ballet flats from Amazon.
Jewelry // For the earring, I chose my favorite Missoma Claw Earrings. This outfit also brings back the midi-ring and the ring stack (so popular five years ago, still good). And lastly, I added in the Daniel Wellington leather-strap watch.
What I love about the way this jewelry is layered is that it’s so excessive, but because the pieces are classic, it looks subtle. It’s a fabulous way of being extra without overdoing it.
Makeup // The Gucci nail colors went fast, so fast. But you can still grab this Annabel Rose shade at Harrod’s. Looking for a drugstore dupe? This Terra nail polish is a very similar beige-blush color.
This lipstick is Amazing Amal from Charlotte Tilbury. It’s one of my very favorites. It gives you the impact of a dark shade with the femininity of a red.

Would you tuck the sweater in to the paperbag pants? I am not sure how that would lay with so much bulk around the middle for me. (I love those pants, but basically only wear them with a thin shirt tucked in and a jacket/cardigan if needed for warmth.)
Yes, I would tuck, or just front tuck.
Amazing Amalwas my go-to for big court appearances (before everyone went to Zoom). The pinky-rose is so bold.
I own the Missoma claw earrings and love how beautiful they look, however I wish I had known more about the posts before purchasing them. I find the shape hurts my lobes and it affects how often I wear them! Do you have the same experience?
I don’t have any pain as a result, but they are a unique shape for sure.
Going to celebrate J.Crew coming back from the dark side. I could not be more thrilled to have them getting back to what made them great.
I didn’t quite copy this outfit but your post inspired me to match a pearl gray jacket with a champagne satin blouse and it looks amazing. I would have never put those two together so thanks for the idea!
