Seasonless Style: A Cardigan with Vintage Style

Jul 30, 2021

I did not intend to turn this into ‘cardigan week.’  I started searching for today’s morning post in the dress section, but once I spotted this sweater, I couldn’t leave it out.  So, now, it’s cardigan week.

This fitted cardigan with gold buttons is just special.  On first blush, it looks like an elegant, slightly vintage option.  But there’s more there.

You could wear it with a simple black sheath dress, of course.  You could wear it with boyfriend jeans, sneakers, and a graphic tee.  You could layer it over a jumpsuit.  Or you could wear it with a black lace tank, black shorts, and high heels.  This cardigan is the rare piece that could fit into any closet.

And the buttons.  I’m a sucker for a gold button.

I’m so excited for this cardigan to arrive, I can barely stand it.

Abra, do you find that & Other Stories runs TTS? I have a few things in my cart, but i’ve gained ~5 pounds over the summer (hey marathon injury, i see you…) and i’m concerned that i’m now between sizes!

I just bought this cardigan. Mask mandates aside (sigh),I am so looking forward to dressing like a lady who has cool places to go and fun people to see.

I just had the most pleasant memory because of this sweater. I had a similar sweater that I loved when I was in my early twenties. It didn’t fit my lifestyle then but I wore it regardless. This classic doesn’t fit my lifestyle now- I am a nurse who wears scrubs but I would still wear the hell out of it on cooler days.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
