Seasonless Styles: A Striped Button Up

Jul 29, 2021

Okay, I admit it.  I jumped the gun on promoting pieces that could be worn now and later.  Because while it may be late July, I am not ready to think about fall yet.  And I’m pretty sure none of you are either.  My mistake.

However, today’s season-less style is as perfect for summer as it is for the shoulder seasons, so let’s get to it.

This Poplin Stripe shirt from Gap is a great item for summer.  Wear it with denim shorts.  Wear it tied in the front over a tank dress.  Pair it with white jeans and sandals.  Or just button it up over a swimsuit.  The options are endless.

For fall, I would wear with with distressed denim and a chunky knit.  I also like it under a navy blazer with a pair of olive trousers.  Or if you’re feeling like a rebel, bring back the white jeans again with a pair of boots.

Looking for a thinner stripe?  This Ralph Lauren Shirt is a classic.  Want the one your cool niece will be wearing?  This one with the exaggerated collar from Free People is popular.  Need a plus-size? Try this Calvin Klein blouse or this Treasure & Bond shirt.

Maybe I’m missing it, but I’m not seeing a link to the featured Gap shirt?

That J Crew shirt is not a plus- only up to size 16

The Find: Bright and Striped

For the past few years, the wardrobes of many influencers have tilted toward the beige and boring.  I’m all for a good basic, but staple pieces can only take you so far.  Sometimes, you need to wear something that has a little something extra, and this sale-priced tee certainly does.
