It’s discombobulating when your favorite maker of work dresses starts stocking casual dresses made of linen and fruit-floral prints. But, hey, there was a pandemic and no one was going to the office. So I guess I can’t blame Ann Taylor for trying to pivot. And, frankly, some of the dresses are pretty cute (especially when they’re on sale for $75).
I’ve decided that this is the summer of bold pieces. And this red dress from Ann Taylor is breezy, pretty and bold. I love how light it feels when I wear it, and the floral print is really fun.
Another thing to like about the dress, the straps are wide enough that you can wear a real bra with it. It’s fantastic.
The dress comes in sizes 0-18. I typically take a six in AT, I bought a four in this one. And it also comes in petites.
Need a work dress? I love the fluttery sleeve detail on this seasonless stretch sheath. It’s a pretty accent that isn’t too much for work.

I got this dress a few weeks ago, and agree it is fabulous. My one regret is that it doesn’t have pockets. It’s a swingy enough dress it could totally accommodate them. But I like it enough I may take it to the tailor and have them added!! Agree it runs large.
