Back to Basics: An MM LaFleur Sale

Jul 14, 2021

MM LaFleur is one of my favorite retailers for work clothes, particularly dresses.  Their styles are built for the office.  Currently, they’re having a serious sale with lots of gorgeous styles on discount.  Here are a few of my favorites.

This Adelaide dress has been on my wishlist for a while, and at under-$175, I can’t pass it up.  Three colors, sizes 0-16.

The Morgan Dress is a great choice if you need a professional dress that is also comfortable.  The ruching and pleating is flattering, and the a-line skirt is very forgiving.  Three colors, size 0P to 3x in some colors.

I love the neckline on the Marilyn Dress.  The fabric is a wonderful ‘sharkskin’ material that is a good weight with an interesting texture.  Four colors, 0P to 3+ in several colors.

I own this Niko dress, and I love it.  It’s one of the few dresses in my wardrobe that I can wear without a jacket and look perfectly professional.  Several sizes left.

I almost nabbed the Morgan but the reviews made me skittish. They’re saying the draping around the waist is heavy and unflattering. Is that your experience?

Also, the Soho skirt is being discontinued! Gah!

Same. I put a bunch of stuff in my bag but the reviews are giving me pause.

I have the bamboo Morgan and love it–very comfortable for very long work days. I did not find the middle section unflattering (I’m 5’9″, 140). It’s not a form-fitting silhouette, but if you like the Tory dress which “skims,” I think this would also work for you. The sleeves are on the long side (which I loved).

Do you know what’s going on with the Morandi cardigan? Is it being discontinued?
