The Monday Outfit: A Modern Ring Stack

Apr 19, 2021

Stacking rings is one of my favorite jewelry looks.  It’s a wonderful way to wear lots of jewelry without it looking overwhelming.  This photo from Stone and Strand shows a simple, impactful look that’s easy to recreate.  Let’s ring it up.

Thin Band // A thin band like this one from Brook and York is great for layering, but it also looks perfectly dainty solo.  If you want one with a little more pop, this beaded ring from Baublebar is a great option.

Pave Band // I went a little thicker with my pave band because I love the sparkle.  And this Adriana Orsini ring with three rows of stone work is a lovely choice.  Want something thinner?  This Nadri band is right on time for that subtle shimmer.

Thick Band // This medium-width band from Brook and York is a great anchor piece for your ring stack.  It’s the perfect blend of statement ring and every day basic.  Want to get your ring stack pre-made?  Baublebar has this band and two thin ones for <$75.  (They also have them in silver.)

Textured Band // Adding a band with a different texture really lifts this look — you get simple, sparkle and the unexpected all in one stack.  This Roaju knotted ring feels like the perfect choice at the perfect price.  I also love this sophisticated chain link ring from Missoma.  And Baublebar also has a stacking set that includes thin rings with a chain ring that’s worth a look.

Nail Polish // I love a soft polish for every day wear.  I know grieve has been popular for a few years, but I feel like it always makes me look like I have frostbite.  Instead, I wear this nude-mauve polish from Deborrah Lippmann called Modern Love.  It gives you the softest hint of color and looks more grown-up to me than pale pink.

Try PAVOI (you can find on Amazon or their website). I am SO impressed by the variety and quality, especially at the absolute steal of a price point.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
