Movies and television shows give people a slanted view of how government works. Well-dressed staff in their 30s moving through wide hallways and wood paneled offices is not the norm.
There are no corner offices in the Montana Capitol (or in most capitols). My work space is a corner cubicle in a bullpen with six other staff and six elected officials. None of the furniture matches, the carpet was installed when I was in high school, and the place always smells like cabbage. But the lack of luxurious conditions doesn’t bother me, with one exception.
The damn AC unit is directly behind my desk — a blast of cold air from March 15th on. Even my trusty heating pad cannot keep me warm enough. Luckily, this cotton cardigan is chic, warm, and perfect for work or work from home.
First off, how beautiful is this photo? In my wildest dreams, I could never look this effortlessly chic. Gorgeous.
Second, this Cotton Cashmere Cardigan perfectly bridges the gap between relaxed and polished. It looks and feels luxurious. And at <$130, it is a wonderful dupe for the Jenni Kayne cardigan that is all over my social feeds.
The cardigan comes in four colors (black, ivory, navy and aqua). It also runs in sizes XS to 3X. If you want a simple, gorgeous cardigan to layer over spring outfits, this is it.

Love the office realness. When I worked on the hill I had a flex desk in a doorway.
I was wedged between a door and a water cooler. It was awesome for concentration.
