The Find: A Weekend or Work Sweatshirt

Jan 14, 2021

If you have an Instagram account, you’ve probably seen the ads and sponsored posts for the Dudley Stephens brand.  They make a fleece sweatshirt that many bloggers rave about but, when I tried it, I wasn’t impressed.  So when I spotted a French terry sweatshirt in Banana Republic for 1/3 the price, I thought I would give it a try.

The BR French Terry sweatshirt is cozy, comfortable and can be styled for work or weekend.  The cut is a little boxy, a little oversized, but I don’t drown in it.  I also like how warm it is because my office is very chilly.

The sweatshirt runs XS to XL, which the size guide says is 0-18.  Check back this afternoon for Two Ways to style it.

I genuinely love that “work sweatshirt” is a thing now!

That sweatshirt looks great! I know you didn’t like the DS fleece, but I have to say I live in mine (and I’m not an Instagram influencer). I’ve tried some cheaper, cute sweatshirts this year. I still end up wearing my DS the most. Mainly, because they just hold up better. The texture changes some after you wash, but in a good way, no pilling! I even got a Zoom compliment while wearing one of my boatneck versions. Anyway, just thought I’d share another opinion with your readers.

Ooh! I’m excited about this! Thanks for the rec

Love the sweatshirt…it reminds me of the Aday sweatshirt that keeps popping up on my instargam. Has anyone tried that line?

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
