The Beauty Find: Bathrobes

Dec 11, 2020

Years ago, my Mom converted me to the realm of bathrobe users.  Wrapping a towel around yourself is more efficient, but there is something about wearing a comfy bathrobe to keep warm when you’re fresh from the shower.  Here are a few styles that caught my eye.

Also, I should mention that there are intentionally no Barefoot Dreams robes in this group.  I love their blankets, but their robes are not warm enough.  Soft, sure, but not warm.

The Cozy, but Lightweight One

LL Bean Sweater Fleece Robe

The Super Plush One

Nordstrom Bliss Plush Robe

The Travel-Friendly One

H&M Waffle Knit Robe

(I own this robe. It’s easy to wear, lightweight, and packs well.)

The Plus-Size and Petite One

LL Bean Fleece Robe

Abra, is the H&M robe moisture-absorbing? I love the idea of a bathrobe but find many of the non-cotton ones to not be good at wicking away water.

Love the lightweight fleece option! I have a wonderful jersey bathrobe for most of the year when I would be sweating in fleece, but it’s not super warm for winter months. Is it silly to own MULTIPLE bathrobes? Totally considering becoming that person.

I own this Turkish robe: “Towel Selections Women’s Robe, Turkish Cotton Short Terry Bathrobe Made in Turkey” that I found on Amazon. I like towel-plush robes that are short so I don’t trip when climbing out of the tub!

I got the Nordstrom one recently, and while I don’t use it right when I get out of the shower, it is SO cozy! I wear it sometimes when I’m working- it helps me relax!

My dark under eye circles have been the bane of my existence since I was 12. Is the cause lack of sleep? Dehydration? Sinus issues? Stress? Who the hell knows. But there they are, every day, telling the world that I am an exhausted working Mom.

Sloane loves the pool. She jumps from the deck into the water with a crash, never considering her own safety, only to emerge on the surface, shouting “Again!” The pool is my daughter’s happy place. But no place where I need to wear a swimsuit in public is a happy one for me.

The Mondays: July 22, 2024

The Crowdstrike/Microsoft Meltdown forced me to take a few days off this weekend. No laptop. No billable hours. So we packed Sloane up for a visit to a local llama farm, stopped by the pool, went for coffee, etc. Few things are as funny as watching a 23-month old feed carrots to a ravenous rescue […]
