Happy Hour: A Cozy & Chic Sweater Dress

From time to time, I spot a dress that just stops me in my tracks.  Whenever that happens, I always save it to post later.  And this sweater dress is definitely one of those dresses.

This & Other Stories Knitted Midi Wrap Dress is amazing for fall/winter, even a season spent mostly at home.  The balloon sleeve is trendy and cool.  The wrap skirt is flattering and breaks up the yards and yards of knit.  The oatmeal hue is soft and feminine.  And the dress just feels like the perfect blend of cozy sweater dress and chic going out dress.

I would style this with a knee high boot in cognac brown.  So dig yours out of the back of the closet.  I’d also add a big earring and a statement ring.  And I’ve got a plum blush and a sheer berry lip to go with it.

Personally, I didn’t want to make a liquor run, but I had a bottle of Sortilege Canadian Whisky that has slight maple flavor.  And I added a bit of Trader Joe’s Vanilla Bean Paste and cinnamon to give it that spicy flavor.  It worked well, but made the cocktail a little cloudy.
