Happy Hour: Blackberries and Bourbon

Oct 2, 2020

Looking for a dress for stay-at-home date nights?  This dress is both stylish and comfortable.  You could also switch it up for work if you are back in the office.

Dress first this week, cocktail second.

This green leopard print dress from & Other Stories has a unique pattern in a gorgeous fall color.  The shape is also relaxed but very feminine and chic.

I would wear it with a knee high boot or a simple flat.  I would add a large gold hoop.

& Other Stories always has a lot of lovely pieces.  This puff-shoulder dress is also very fun.  Sadly they haven’t expanded to inclusive sizing yet, but there has been some talk that they are moving toward it.

This Earl Grey Blackberry Bourbon Cocktail sounds like everything I need in my life right now.  I love Earl Grey tea.  I love blackberries.  And I love/need Bourbon to get me through the pandemic.

Accumulating the ingredients to make this this weekend was a little bit of work.  Finding pear liqueur was a challenge, but you can also make your own, which sounds like a fun date night activity.

Here’s hoping you have a fun and safe weekend.  Because Lord knows we could all use a break.

Ooooh, making your own liqueur sounds like a great quarantine activity!

And FYI, & Other Stories’s dresses are really poor quality. I’ve purchased several, and they always tear or fall apart in the wash after only one wear. I think it’s because they’re usually made of cheap rayon.

Add to Cart: Five Recent Amazon Purchases

Since my daughter was born, Amazon has claimed so much of my money that I had to buy stock just to get some of it back.  Between the formula, onesies, fruit pouches, diapers, wipes, and ever evolving list of baby development gear, I could not survive without Prime.   My husband no longer notices the […]
