The Find: A Pull-On Skirt

Aug 25, 2020

I’m ready for fall, but the weather isn’t necessarily cooperating.  (Triple digits?  Hard pass.)  Luckily this skirt has all the comfortable, effortless style of a pair of leggings in a style that is appropriate for three-season wear.

This sarong-inspired skirt from Anthro is perfect for a Labor Day spent by the pool.  It would also look great with a white tee and a denim jacket.  Or try it with a chunky ivory sweater.

The skirt comes in five colors — three of which are summery, this terracotta color is nice for summer and fall, and a basic black that can be worn anytime.

As for sizing, the skirt is available in misses and petite, sizes XS to XL (0-16).  Plus-size?  This twist-front Socialite skirt is a good option.

This is such a cool skirt, and the slit saves it from the usual midi bin in my case (muscular calves). I’d love to see how you would style it for the transitional seasons.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
