Happy Hour: A Sparkling Sweet Tea

Jul 17, 2020

As we restart our remodel, I’ve also been working on some small projects around the house.  One of the items on my to-do list was to clean out the laundry room closet.  And what did I find?

Some cleaning supplies.  Two crock pots.  And 14 bottles of prosecco and champagne.  So I guess it’s time for a sparkling cocktail.

Vanilla and Bean’s Sweet Tea Prosecco Cocktails are simple, delicious and perfect for summer.  The cocktail is tea, honey, vodka, Grand Marnier, lemon and Prosecco.  A few more ingredients than I usually like, but it is so worth it.  And you can jazz it up by using different types of tea.

Black tea would be the classic choice.  This Orange Pekoe from Twinnings adds an extra bit of citrus.  You could also mix in the flavors of a London Fog by using Harney & Sons Paris tea, with bergamot and lavender, and a vanilla vodka.

& Other Stories is a great shop if you love pretty, on-trend dresses at mid-range prices.  I always find something in their dress section that I want.  This gorgeous white satin dress with a knotted side tie is no exception.

This v-neck midi-dress in a pretty purple-pink bridges the gap between dressy and casual.  I could throw it on in the morning and wear to dinner later that night.  I also love this black, voluminous tiered dress for adding a bit of trendy drama to your closet.

If you haven’t checked out & Other Stories, I highly recommend it.  You can find everything from casual dresses to elopement dresses, and they’re all gorgeous.

My friend Kaitlyn just received a beautiful timely mug, where can I purchase one?

Jackpot! Now that’s way better than finding a $5 bill while doing laundry…

  3. Laura says:

I am fairly certain I have never misplaced a bottle, let alone 14 bottles, of champagne 🙂

I wasn’t here when Kyle unpacked all of our boxes. I asked him if he’d lost anything else in a mystery closet while I was gone. I wish I’d known it was there before our wedding.

    That dress is lovely!!

  5. MeGan says:

The former Kate Middleton has been wearing & Other Stories over the past couple of years to some of her more relaxed events and they always look perfect.

My fiance and I made these cocktails for date night on Saturday – I don’t have words for how delicious they were! The tea base is yummy on its own, with fresh squeezed lemon, with just prosecco…I think this list could be endless. Can’t wait to try the recipe with gin as well!

Thank you for sharing the *perfect* summer drink.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
