WFH Pieces: A Simple Blazer

Apr 6, 2020

Last week, my favorite blazer split open at the elbow.  I needed a simple, affordable replacement that was a little more relaxed.  And I was lucky enough to find one.

This Gibson Notch Collar Blazer (<$75) fits easily into my spring outfit rotation.  I like the notch collar; it’s a chic accent.  I can toss it on over a simple tee and it looks cool and polished on Zoom chats.

The blazer comes in regular and petite, sizes XX-Small to XX-Large.  It also comes in plus-size.  The regular and petite jackets come in six colors.  Plus jackets come in four.

Gibson also has a collection of chic tops available.  This Swiss Dot blouse and Cross Front Tunic are both worth a look.  Looking for something cozy?  This fleece top and v-neck top both caught my eye.

I’ve been eyeing that blazer for a while? Did you get it in black? I need a replacement staple black blazer, but need one that’s true black. I got the Factory boy blazer in black a while back, and it was basically dark brown. Heartbreaking.

I have this in black and can confirm it’s a true black. It’s also a great substitute for a desk-sweater in more casual offices if you’re cardigan averse like me.

I got it in white and pink. Pink is a neutral right?

Love this blazer! Doesn’t feeling like you’re wearing a suit jacket. Note that it runs a bit small in the arms.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
