The Find: A Textured Work Blazer

Mar 17, 2020

Suit blazers are foundational pieces, but if you need to wear jackets regularly, they’re not enough to fill your wardrobe.  This textured blazer has a look that can be dressed up or dressed down.  And it comes in inclusive sizing.

Anthropologie Filipa Textured Blazer ($138)

This textured cotton blazer has a cool navy-and-white stitching.  I also like the coral contrast trim to add a little something  extra when you roll the sleeves.  It’s a great blazer in your choice of petite, plus, or misses.

For a professional outfit, layer it over a simple navy dress and tan pump.  For a casual outfit, wear it with a white cotton blouse and a pair of distressed jeans.

This is an adorable jacket! I don’t need anything like this for work, but love it for brunches/showers/church or with jeans. So cute!

Hi Abra! Are you still using the Full Focus planner? All of this extra time at home to think and plan has me realizing I need a new planner! I really enjoyed reading about your Success Fridays so would love to know what planner you’re using and any other tips to get more organized and plan for work and life success (especially during this “break” from the usual rat race!)

No, I stopped. It was too much work. Like Way Way to much, so that some days just writing down my to do list felt like a bigger job. I bought the Savor Planner My Next 90 Days, less work similar impact.

    And now 25%!

    • Caitlin says:

*25% off… this week has done a number on me.

      • Belle says:

Same. Two weeks in, I started crying today because I couldn’t find a bag of cheese that had fallen off a shelf in the fridge. Yeah, maybe it’s time to go for a drive.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
