The Find: A Pretty Wrap Dress

Jan 8, 2020

A big seller from 2019 is back in stock again.  And, once you see it, it’s obvious why this dress is a favorite.

This Halogen wrap dress is under-$100 and works for many occasions.  It’s a great dinner dress.  It’s nice for cocktail hour at a work conference.  And it works for spring and summer work days, or winter work days with tights (thought Static Guard may be necessary to prevent sticking).

The dress comes in six colors and prints (I like the black, but the leopard is nice as well.).  The dress is available in petite.  It is also available in plus-size, but only in the snake-print.

Prefer a sleeker wrap dress?  This DKNY long-sleeve faux wrap dress is the way to go.  It’s also under-$100.

Would love to see a three ways style post with this dress using some of the scenarios you suggested!

Hi Abra, can you make a post on wearing dresses and skirts to work during the wintertime? I have trouble pairing tights and shoes. What color tights? What kinds of shoes? Happy 2020 to you!

I have been looking for more long sleeve, and say dresses for work and this looks fab. Ordering and will order more if looks good. Thanks!

I have the leopard and LOVE it. Easy to wear! I usually have a hard time with wrap-style dresses, but this one has a little more structure than some, so it worked for me. Considering a second!

The Find: A Striped Tee

Without question, the most worn item in my wardrobe is a black-and-white striped tee. I wear it in winter under sweaters, in spring with white jeans, in summer with black shorts. I’ve been wearing the same one for years (it’s the best). But they don’t make it anymore. So here are some options for replacement.

The Find: Like a McCall’s Pattern

When I was young, my Mother used to bring me along when she would go shopping for fabric. As a result, I spent a lot of time, killing time, flipping through pattern books. So when I spotted this dress, I was instantly transported to the pattern table at a Jo-Ann Fabrics.
