The Find: A Layering V-Neck Tank

Aug 29, 2019

As fall approaches, it’s time to think about layering.  Some of my cardigans and blazers are a little too snug in the sleeves to accommodate a traditional blouse.  This versatile sleeveless shell, in both crewneck and v-neck is the perfect solution.

This Lark & Ro shell is a versatile choice that comes in two necklines and tons of colors.  Priced under-$20, you can stock up on as many shades as you need.

This top is polyester, which I know some of your loathe.  For a silk option, this Cuyana tank and Everlane’s high neck and silk shells are nice.

Plus-size?  These straight neck and scallop neck tanks from Gibson come in a handful of colors.  Petite? These Alfani tanks are nice.

Can you speak to the opacity of this top in lighter colors? I like the ivory animal print but it looks like there’s another layer of the printed fabric showing through in the image. Do you know if it’s intentionally lined or if it’s just super sheer?

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
