The Find: A Chic Tote Bag

Jul 30, 2019

Last week, I was riding down an escalator when I spotted a bag hanging on a woman’s shoulder.  I loved the color scheme, mauve-grey with gunmetal hardware.  I was sure the bag was Rebecca Minkoff.  It wasn’t.  It was Amazon.

This DMICXEL bag is part satchel, part crossbody, part tote.  It comes in a handful of colors, but this mauve is my favorite.  It’s a unique color that will work in winter, spring, summer or fall.  And it’s just $25.

To the hand, it doesn’t feel luxurious, but it doesn’t feel cheap either.  It feels like a low-end bag from a department store — something that you’d pay $88 for and be perfectly happy with it.

The bag also has a decent amount of internal storage.  It has a center divider with a zip top pocket that helps keep everything organized.  It also has a good drop, so you can wear if over your shoulder, and a separate crossbody strap.

If you’re looking for a chic bag at an affordable price, this is a good choice.

Will it fit a standard size laptop?

Good find! I actually love the brown color – I’m obsessed with the classic “saddle” color.

The Find: Bright and Striped

For the past few years, the wardrobes of many influencers have tilted toward the beige and boring.  I’m all for a good basic, but staple pieces can only take you so far.  Sometimes, you need to wear something that has a little something extra, and this sale-priced tee certainly does.
