In the depth of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer.  —  Albert Camus

Skilled. Non-Threatening Leadership Skills for Women.

Frocked. The stylish $128 dress you can wear to every summer wedding.

Safety. How a world quite literally built for men is dangerous to women.

Discounted. 50% off sale, 30% off everything else at J.Crew.  I grabbed these cute sneakers and pretty wrap blouse.

Strengthened. The importance of working for a boss who supports you.

Brightened. The fun spring colors make this Halogen sweater a must-own.

Stashed. How I Learned to Save Money.

Carried. Banana Republic’s collection for Int’l Women’s Day features this cute tote.

Sameness. Why anti-conformists always end up dressing the same way.

Curled. An incredible discount on Drybar’s 3-Day Bender Iron and Detox dry shampoo set ($10!).

Scathed. Do Klobuchar’s supporters mistake the promise of feminism?

Folded. These No. 21 Bow Pumps are everything.  So dramatic.

I’m sick, and somehow, getting sicker.  I may summon some energy to make my favorite soup this afternoon, Avgolomeno.  It’s the Greek equivalent of chicken noodle, and it is so delicious.  This is my favorite recipe, mostly because it’s simple and easy.  Now, if only there was someone here to cook it for me…

Ten billion thanks for that lead on the JCrew sale. I not only nabbed the white bodysuit you showcased a couple of weeks ago, but also a gold velvet version of the faux wrap top, which I’d left on the rack in December for being too expensive. Got it for less than fifteen bucks! Thank you!

Hope you feel better. The avgolemono o should help.

Bell, my sympathies on being sick, it sucks.Being sick ALONE sucks a lot!

Also, If you like Avgolemono, try Chikhirtma (Georgian Chicken Soup, also with egg & lemon, plus dill & cilantro). I use a recipe from 177MilkStreet.com… Delicious!

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
