My 10 Best Purchases Ever: No. Ten

Oct 26, 2018

We’ve come to the end of the list of My 10 Best Purchases Ever.  And here, on the last day, I’m talking about the most flattering dress that I have ever owned.

I bought the Taylor to wear under blazers for a more feminine look.  The knot defines the waist, and looks great under a one-button blazer.  The dress also comes in the most wonderful colors, but this deep viridian color is my favorite.

And did I mention that it has pockets?  Even better, the pocket is concealed in the drape on the front of the dress.

The dress is also very versatile.  Add some big earrings and a cool heel, and it’s perfect for a night out, or even a wedding.

I’m fully planning to wear this to a family wedding in spring, so I’ll be watching for new colors. The only one in my size right now is green.

  2. Stefanie S. says:

Does this dress ever go one sale? It’s beautiful, but that is a steep price.

  3. Annie says:

Okay, based on this, I caved and just bought one I’ve been pondering off poshmark.

  4. Pam says:

I have this dress in viridian too and love it. Wish I could justify getting it in more colors. But it is comfy and chic for sure!

  5. Heidi says:

Never purchased for this brand, how is the seizing?

    • Kelly says:

I’ve got 7-ish pieces from them. The pants/skirts run pretty true to size, the dresses run a bit small. I buy a size up for the dresses.

    • Belle says:

If you are bigger on one part of you, I would size up. I’m a 4-top, 6-bottom, always buy the six.

  6. Lucy says:

Have this is green and love it.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
