My 10 Best Purchases: Number Three

Oct 18, 2018

Okay, so I can’t count.  Somehow I skipped from number two to number four.  Because, why not?  Three is unnecessary. *facepalm*  So let’s back track a bit…

I bought my first pair of leopard flats nine years ago.  When I first started wearing them, I just remember thinking, “Where have these been all my life?!?”

My original leopard shoes are no longer in production, but these Boden Evie Flats ($140) are a good stand in.  I like the pointed toe for lengthening the leg, and making you look taller.  When choosing a leopard flat, the key to picking a pattern is to choose one that isn’t too yellow.  This print is a nice mix of browns and tans.

For something less expensive, these Express flats are nice.  I also like the look of these Marc Fisher flats.  For something casual, I love my Rothy’s.

I love my leopard print flats. I definitely get my monies worth when I wear them, they go with so much but really elevate my favorite all black outfit!

Any suggestions for a vegan pair of leslie’s print flats? Rothys are a little outside of my price range

Yes to this! As a broke college student, a friend’s mother gave me a pair of leopard print flats that she couldn’t return. I politely accepted because well, I had 5 pairs of shoes to my name at that point, but didn’t think I’d wear them. Flash forward 12 years, and I have a leopard print shoe for every occasion. They are the best neutral! For flats, I’d highly recommend Dr. Scholls. They make a super simple, affordable and uber comfy pair.

The Mondays: July 22, 2024

The Crowdstrike/Microsoft Meltdown forced me to take a few days off this weekend. No laptop. No billable hours. So we packed Sloane up for a visit to a local llama farm, stopped by the pool, went for coffee, etc. Few things are as funny as watching a 23-month old feed carrots to a ravenous rescue […]
