10 Statement Earrings for Summer

Jul 18, 2018

Recently, I’ve gotten into big earrings.  When I want to feel dressed up, big earrings.  When I don’t know how to finish an outfit, big earrings.  Formal occasions, casual outings, if I just need something extra, big earrings.  Here are ten pairs under-$50 to bring a burst of life to your wardrobe.

Halogen Curved Disc Earrings ($25)

Baublebar Amina Drop Earrings ($32)

8 Other Reasons Ellie Earrings ($37)

Yochi Bumble Earrings ($21)

AQUA Multicolored Teardrop Earrings ($28)

Humble Chic Geometric Threader Hoops ($24)

These come in several metals.  They were my gateway drug to big earrings because they are so light and easy to wear.

Kate Spade Slice of Stone Earrings ($48)

Baublebar Sonatina Earrings ($20)

Davette Hoop Earrings ($22)

Rebecca Minkoff Open Cut Earrings ($48)

I’m with you on loving big earrings right now, and would love your advice on incorporating some less wild pairs into a business outfit rotation. Thanks for the great content!

    So many good choices here!

I’ll add that I got the multicolored version of these a few months ago and have been incredibly happy with them: https://www.loft.com/beaded-loop-drop-earrings/474586

I recently cut my shoulder length hair into a very short pixie and have been enjoying ever larger, more daring earrings since. I think they are a more modern look than a statement necklace and perfect for retail therapy that doesn’t break the bank. I’m particularly fond of a rose gold colored leather pair from Nickel & Suede. SO big and yet weigh almost nothing.

I still like a long pendant, but most of my chunky necklaces are out the door. Some of them are a little 2010.

I just put myself on a spending freeze but I love SO MANY of those. I’m already imagining all of the outfits and hairstyles that would accompany the Aqua teardrops and the “geometric threader hoops.”

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
