Leather jackets are one of those things I have such a hard time buying new. The items in my price range don’t feel as classic or well-made as an investment piece should be and the ones that are can be a cool $1,000 (or more!) for.a.JACKET. It takes a bit of work and time, but I have found two different leather jackets at Thredup. One is a Rag & Bone bomber style and one is a Joie cropped biker style. Second-hand these brands that would normally be out of my reach were attainable. I bought and returned MANY leather jackets before I found the ones I liked, but they have great style with high quality features (zippers!) and butter soft leather. I will treasure them always.

Even though they’re faux leather, I want to plug the Minus the Leather jackets at Express. I have owned several in a variety of colors over the years, and they hold up well, look and feel like real leather, and I get compliments on them all the time. Just wait for one of Express’ many sales to get a nice discount.

Thank you for offering a faux option! I have a faux one in blush that I get a lot of use out of and am now eyeing the one linked here in teal . . .

I received the Blank NYC in blush for xmas and I LOVE IT! great quality and I can’t wait to start wearing it in the spring

I bought a beautiful brown leather jacket at Zara during a sale, and it’s still going strong after 3 years of fairly heavy use (and attentive-ish care — it needed moisturizing with a leather balm for the first time this winter). I haven’t checked their offerings recently but worth a look for anyone who’s in the market for one.

Add to Cart: Five Recent Amazon Purchases

Since my daughter was born, Amazon has claimed so much of my money that I had to buy stock just to get some of it back.  Between the formula, onesies, fruit pouches, diapers, wipes, and ever evolving list of baby development gear, I could not survive without Prime.   My husband no longer notices the […]
