What Enraged Me. America, where a woman’s photos of her domestic violence injuries are called “glamour shots” by a self-serving PR hack.

What I’m Drinking. I found these Alo drinks on a trip, and I love them. They contain aloe vera, which is good for your skin.

What I’m Listening To. The Sincerely, X podcast.  Some stories are so raw, you have to tell them anonymously.

Can relate so much to Shonda’s words on losing weight. I have lost close to a hundred pounds and counting in the past year. While I am not offended by all compliments/comments I have received – it makes me personally feel good when people notice and most people have only commented when I have pointed out the elephant in the room – it does have it’s weird moments. Strangers do treat me differently and men flirt with me more openly. While this in and of itself doesn’t surprise or bother me since I was super unhealthy and much less happy at my starting weight than I am today, it does put this fog over new relationships. Like, really, that’s all it took for you to notice how great I am?

  2. Monica T says:

Thank you for that Vogue article, so much. A few years ago I felt something snap, and that something was my ability to pretend like things didn’t bother me. In reality, I wasn’t being that chill. I was struggling with compulsive eating, compulsive spending, pretty much trying to distract myself from my own unhappiness with anything I could find. Post-snap, there are people who want me to go back to the way I was, always happy, always stuffing anything that wasn’t “happy” down deep inside of myself where it isn’t an inconvenience to them. They tell me that I need medication to help me get back to that person, and then tell me they’re my best friend for telling me so. If you’re struggling find a good therapist, they will know the difference. Let go of the people-pleasing, it will devour you whole and never even notice you’re gone.

Our Costco sells cases of the Alo drinks! My husband is addicted.

Must find a place that carries the Alo beverages. Interesting article about Gloria Allred. Thanks for the short list to inspire the day.

    And…I bought the pearl sweatshirt.

  6. Sharon says:

I love scalp scrubs! I’m using a Cristophe Robin one from a Sephora Play subscription box right now. It dries my hair out like no one’s business, but it’s nothing that a good hair mask won’t take care of right away. And my hair feels so light and clean afterwards.

The Find: A Striped Tee

Without question, the most worn item in my wardrobe is a black-and-white striped tee. I wear it in winter under sweaters, in spring with white jeans, in summer with black shorts. I’ve been wearing the same one for years (it’s the best). But they don’t make it anymore. So here are some options for replacement.
