I will be away from my computer for the next three days on a trip to Cuba.  Posts will resume on Tuesday.  Wish me luck; I’m a bit nervous about my first overseas trip.

1) The story behind Nordstrom Cafe, every mom’s favorite restaurant. (Bon Appetit)

2) I bought this Monsoon lace blouse to bring a little Vogue/Victorian drama into my life.  I’ll report back.

3) What leaders never do in networking introductions, and you shouldn’t either. (Forbes)

4) This Bobbi Brown makeup train case just went on my Christmas list. Yes, I said Christmas.

5) How to get out of extreme debt and stay out of it. (Refinery29)

6) For cozy fall days, I need this Anthro cowl neck top and this v-neck pullover with ruffled hems.

7) A janitor felt invisible at Georgetown–then, one student changed his life. (The Washington Post)

8) The best mid-price things at Net-a-Porter: A Helmut Lang open back shirt and this drop-dead Michelle Mason one-shoulder cocktail dress.

Bonus: 40 Ways to Wear Ankle Boots–like these, and these, and don’t miss these velvet ones.

Safe travels. Can you let us know if you’re going with a specific tour group or any recommendations (pros/cons) when you get back? Also looking to go but looking to avoid the $5,000 tour costs.

  3. ChicaJay says:

HMS, not to brag, but our company doesn’t even cost half of that, and being a Cuban-American I think we’re solid and our folks love us. Please go to insider expeditions website. I promise you will not be ripped off, or disappointed.

Belle, please be safe, and have fun.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
