1) How to become the person who never misses a deadline. (Levo)

2) This Danielle Nicole Emi satchel has clean lines and a sleek look, especially for the price.

3) Five tips for making weekday workouts happen when hitting the gym seems impossible. (The Everygirl)

4) Need summery tops for work?  I love this orange lace-inset top from Ann Taylor.  This green tropical-print top from Talbot’s would look great under a cardi.  And this sale-priced blush Max Mara blouse is a wardrobe staple.

5) Say goodbye to the annual pay raise. (Yeah, most of us did that during the recession.) (Bloomberg)

6) Hugo Boss has the best women’s suiting.  I love their take on a the three-piece suit for women, and this color block Dapena dress is to die for.

7) How American politics gradually went insane, and what we can do about it. (The Atlantic)

8) Shopbop is offering 25%-off all sale-priced items.  I hit the jewelry section hard; this Alexis Bittar hinge cuff and these delicate Rebecca Minkoff ear crawlers caught my eye.

9) Advice for those looking to end a work friendship with a clean break. (Fast Company)

10)  Looking for inexpensive metallic flats to commute in?  Try these Diba flats in silver or these H&M gold ballet flats, both with a rubber sole.

11) How the TV show UnReal depicts the current office culture–burnt out, frustrated, apathetic and helpless–and the drama of meaningless work. (New Republic)

12) If the sun, the beach, and the pollution has made your hair a summertime emergency situation, this Leonor Greyl Quinessence Mask is a life saver.  The price, however, makes it for critical care only.

Any suggestions for work tops made from natural fibers? I like the look of the ones you suggested, but synthetic fibers don’t breathe and I end up a sweaty mess in this heat. Everlane has been my go to, but so many of their cuts are unflattering.

  2. Valerie says:

Did anyone else feel old after reading #1, because college feels like ages ago and trying to stay up late/pull an all-nighter just doesn’t happen as easily (or doesn’t happen at all) during grad/law school? 😉

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]
