I am so ready for warmer weather.  We get a few nice days, and then, it either rains or snows.  It’s becoming unbearable.  Here are a few affordable pieces that bring the crisp look of summer to a new level.

One. Mango Shift Cotton Dress ($49).  This swingy shift minidress from Mango has some wonderful details.  I love the pockets and side vents.  If you’re looking for something knee-length, the Tory Burch Erin and this LOFT Fringe Shift are perfect for work.  Plus-size?  Try this Michael Kors sleeveless shift.

Two. Charlotte Russe Chunky Heel ($33).  These block, kitten heels are just lovely.  They’re a great neutral with a modern, trendy look.  For a higher heel, I like these Bamboo Embark heels.

Three. Anne Klein Shaky Bracelet ($28).  For a pop of color, add a bit of turquoise or aqua to your wardrobe.  It gives your navy and blue summer pieces a boost.  I also recommend coral, teal-green, and pale purple for lifting neutral hues.

Four. BR Striped Peplum Top ($74).  This top has a flattering shape that looks amazing with a pencil skirt or jeans.  And the chambray like hue is a versatile choice.  I also like this white Worthington peplum top and this orange halter-style peplum.  Plus-size ladies should try this lace Liz Claiborne top.

Five. River Island Eyelet Wrap Skirt ($70). Eyelet skirts are usually breezy and flirty, with a fuller look.  However, this sleek wrap skirt makes a strong case for the eyelet pencil.  If you prefer the softer shape, this Calvin Klein skirt is a steal.  I also like the mermaid skirt from Cupcakes and Cashmere.

Six. Sondra Roberts Box Clutch ($88).  I own a cork clutch, and I use it for every summer wedding and cocktail event.  It has a great natural look and texture.  For something more affordable, try this frame clutch from J.Crew Factory.
