Or, if all that fails, just kick the door down.  At least, that’s how we do it in Montana.

1) How to say ‘no’ and stick to it. (Hitha on the Go)

2) This Donna Rico textured dress is amazing! It’s selling out; has anyone seen it at another store?

3) On the trail with the ‘disgusting’ reporters who cover Trump.  And, how Trump went from friend to foe for one reporter. (Slate; Glamour)

4) For casual jackets, fall into the Gap.  I love this denim utility jacket.  They offer the same style in cotton; I love the coral.  And for something totally relaxed, this French terry jacket looks so comfy.

5) Should you ‘Tinder’ while you travel? (Travel and Leisure)

6) I need a crossbody for travel.  This AllSaints Mini Pearl is the chicest one ever.  For an affordable version, try this cool, $28 Apt. 9 bag.

7) How to never miss a deadline in 6 simple steps. (Levo)

8) Need a tool for eyebrow maintenance?  This Sephora Polished Brow Set has everything you need.

9) Welcome to Hillstone, America’s favorite restaurant. (Bon Appetite)

10) For graduation dresses, check out this Antonio Melani blue lace dress and this white laser cut lace dress.  I wanted this Black Halo Amelie dress, but it’s sold out.  Grr.

11) Stanford professor who pioneered praising kids for effort says we are all missing the point. (Quartz)

12) Need a neutral high heel sandal?  This Club Monaco Isa heel is the perfect mix of feminine and cool

I highly recommend the Lo & Sons Pearl crossbody, if you haven’t already tried it. I have it in black nappa leather with gold hardwar/camel interior and it feels super luxe and sturdy at the same time. Caught it on sale a few weeks ago for <200 which makes me love it even more.

    • Anna says:

They’re having a sale now. The camel is $145ish.

    • LS says:

I was planning to buy a Lo & Sons bag, but I’ve seen a good number of reviews that say that quality isn’t great. Things like loose threads etc. For the Pearl specifically, I’ve read that the thin strap digs into the shoulder when it’s loaded up. Have you experienced either of those?

Just based on tons of sponsored posts from them on Instagram, I feel like their business has expanded so much in the past few years, it’s almost impossible for the quality to not have declined.

      • Anna says:

I don’t know about the Pearl, but I have a purple OMG that has stood up like a champ. I’ve had it for two years now, and it’s only now starting to show it’s age, mostly because the exterior is a bit dirty and one of the bottom corners is looking worn. I use it every day as a work/gym bag. I stuff my dirty running shoes in the shoe pocket, and have taken it as my carry on where I put a weekend’s worth of clothes and shoes in it or stuff it with my electronics, books, and toiletries. There have been a few times where I though there’s no way the straps can hold all this weight, but there’s no sign of strain on any of the straps at all. Again, I can’t speak to the Pearl, but the OMG has been surprisingly sturdy and I have been far from gentle with it.

      • Belle says:

I love all my Lo bags. But a fried reported the thin strap was not comfortable for her…a shame.

      • Mo says:

In my experience, their customer service is the bomb though. They have replaced both of the bags I broke (one zipper after 12 months HARD use, one strap) no questions asked other than a picture. Didn’t even have to send the old one back.

    • LS says:

Oh also, they seem like they’ve fallen into the big retailer trap of offering sales almost constantly. If they can turn a profit at $145, how much does it really cost them to make?

  2. Lindsey says:

I liked it enough to look around, so thought I’d share that the Black Halo Amelie dress is in stock at Lord & Taylor.

  3. Hitha says:

Thank you so much for including my post! And I second the Lo & Sons Pearl recommendation – it’s my favorite crossbody for everyday and travel.

  4. PW says:

Dillard’s has the Donna Ricco dress for a few dollars more.
