One. Who doesn’t love a fun Christmas stocking? This Jonathan Adler one is perfectly cheeky. For something more traditional, I like this New World Arts stocking with embroidered Santa. And I adore this all-white stocking with an embroidered swan.
Need a way to hand your stocking by the fire with care? This little pinecone and larger moose antler hanger are both adorbs.
Two. Suffer from a dry throat in the winter? These Grether’s Pastilles are like a vacation for your throat. They take a while to dissolve, and coat your throat in velvet.
Three. Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey looks great on almost everyone. It’s my go-to lip color. Other universally flattering shades include, Hello Sailor and Frog Prince.
Four. This travel adapter was a huge hit at a ‘secret santa’ I attended last year. It’s a good gift for someone planning an overseas trip.
Five. Got pills? A sweater stone will remove them without hassle. Also in the clothing maintenance category, a travel steamer is a gift that the recipient will use all the time.
Six. A filthy smartphone screen sends me into fits. These sticky microfiber screen cleaners allow you to clean up your phone in a hurry. Not strong enough for you? Uncommon Goods has an anti-microbial light to zap the germs away.
Seven. If your giftee needs to take a rest, coloring can provide their psyche with a break. I bought one of these a while back, and it really helps me calm down. Add a chic set of colored pencils, and you’re all set.
Eight. Much like slippers, gloves are a nice gift. These leather ones caught my eye. I also like these Portolano gloves with their sleek black and tan color scheme. These knit gloves are also very cute.
Nine. Does the person you’re shopping for lose their keys, purse, or phone frequently? Attach a Tile to whatever you can’t stand to lose to help track it down. A friend also recommends these PebbleBee item trackers from Target.
It’s really frustrating for Hill staffers who have everything through shop style blocked. Could you at least include the name of the items so that we can google them instead of “this blush skirt” etc?
Thanks!
Seconded! I realize you probably get paid for the click-throughs, but you post so much cute stuff and it sucks not being able to see it ’til I get home when I’m already sick of being in front of a computer.
I’ve been trying to add more descriptions–usually for the stuff I really love–but sometimes it’s just not practical, or I forget. I’ll see what other solutions might be available over the break, but we may be stuck. I think this is the 3rd time the House has blocked links, they always unblock them, let’s hope they do again.
I just submitted a request to unblock it, we’ll see how that goes. I’m not too optimistic considering they blocked a major newspaper for weeks because they said the site had been compromised. Didn’t care that a Member of Congress routinely read this publication to you know, be able to do her job.
Thanks. I’m not optimistic either. There’s a widget I can use that will at least let you see photos of the items, I’m going to play with that over my school break.
The Clinique lipstick is gorgeous -and currently 10% off! 🙂
