1) Why do we romanticize stress? (The Everygirl)

2) If you are looking for a unique bag, I love this inexpensive deep green tote with strap from Modcloth.

3) My hometown paper is requiring commenters to use their first and last names.  They’re also outing everyone who left a comment previously. (MT Standard)

4) Need dresses for Thanksgiving (or other holiday feasts) ? This teal faux-wrap dress is under-$75 and pretty.  A knot-detail dress is chic and offers a bit of camouflage.  Or try a chunky-knit sweaterdress for something cozy.

5) Ritz Carlton S’Mores Expert, the dream job. (Yahoo!)

6) Celebrate this holiday season with some affordable lingerie from ASOS.  I love this navy, lace cage bra.

7) The Washington Post has an interesting article on ‘female greeting rituals,’ like why we complement people we just met.

8) Fossil has a watch that doubles as an activity tracker; I like their rose gold model.  If you don’t need the timepiece, they sell a simple band bracelet tracker.

9) Real confidence begins with believing in your ability to improve. (Lifehacker)

10) This highlighter from e.l.f is the best one I’ve ever used, and it’s only $7.  There baked, powder highlighter is also worth a look.

11) Still planning your Thanksgiving dinner?  Let The New York Times help, their menu planner can guide you in the right direction.

Eye Candy. If you have $17,000 dollars lying around, you can buy a Fiat or a show-stopping Oscar de la Renta gown.

#7 – I can’t do this, I don’t understand these rituals apparently. This article makes me realize that of the few females I call friends or colleagues, none of us do this…ever. Could this be a regional thing? Now that I know about the secret handshake I still think I wouldn’t be able to do it successfully.

#1 – Seriously. There are some people where I just roll my eyes when they say they’re “so busy” now. The holidays only bring it out more too, I wish everyone would just let the hype go and focus on what really matters: spending time with your loved ones.

  2. Allison says:

I like the idea of forcing people to use their first and last name, I think a big reason that so many people are mean online is that they are anonymous. But I’m wondering, how do they enforce that you use your accurate first and last name? I can’t imagine that they are using social security numbers to verify. What would keep me from using someone else’s name? Just a thought.

  3. Tracie says:

Hi, Belle! Quick question: the highlighter… do you use Sunrise or Spotlight? Thanks!

  4. RR says:

The Oscar de la Renta is 50% off now! Totally affordable. 🙂

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

The Find: My Best Workout Shorts

For eight years, I have worn the same workout shorts. Every year, an influencer tries to sell me new shorts. I order them. I try them on. They pale in comparison to the shorts I already own. I return them.
