Happy Hour: Put It on Ice

Sipping a cocktail on a hot summer day is a great way to relax.  But it’s disappointing when you reach the bottom of the glass and discover that your libation is more watered down than a 90s pop album.  These flavored ice cubes from The Jungalow keep your drink cold without diluting it.  I like these silicone ice cube trays from Williams Sonoma because they’re easier to use than the plastic ones.

Serving your cocktail from a punch bowl?  Make a large ice cube ring filled with fruit and herbs.

Suno Embroidered Peasant Top ($395)

An embroidered cotton top is a great addition to your warm weather wardrobe.  It’s also the perfect attire for a casual backyard party.  You can pair it with shorts, white pants, or skinny jeans.  It’s relaxed and breezy, but still impossibly chic.

Looking for something a bit cheaper?  This Forever21 cap-sleeve top is incredibly cute.  This J.Jill embroidered top with turquoise accents is a good choice.  It also comes in petite and plus-sizes.

I like my peasant blouses with a long-sleeve, so this red-accented top from Shoptiques caught my eye.  This Gibson & Lattimer top with black accents is pretty.

Prefer a tunic length?  Tory Burch is the standard.  This Ark & Co. tunic is more affordable, but just as stylish.  Plus-size?  This Charter Club tunic is lovely.

Happy Hour

I picked this top up from Target a few weeks ago and have worn it every weekend since–it’s so much cuter in person: https://www.target.com/p/embroidered-peasant-top-mossimo-supply-co/-/A-16811644#prodSlot=_3_1

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
