Antonio Melani’s is Killing It for Spring

Apr 16, 2015

Searching for some new fashions for spring?  The Antonio Melani brand from Dillard’s has several can’t miss styles for spring.

Their selection of suiting is some of the best in the middle price point.  I purchased this fitted Grace suit, and I’m pretty happy with it.  It required some tailoring, but that’s to be expected.  Their Misty suit comes in a lovely blue color that is a nice alternative to navy.  And the sleek cut of their Penelope suit would work on many figures.

But for my money, the brand’s dresses can’t be beat.  Here are a few of my favorites.

Alma Dress ($169)

Belinda Eyelet Dress ($169)

My favorite thing about this dress is that you can dress it up or down depending on the shoes.  Add a flat sandal, and it’s casual.  Pick a round-toe pump and a cardigan, and it’s work appropriate.

I LOVE Antonio Melani. I actually just scored a lavender lace sheath dress at TJ Maxx and was so excited- perfect for spring and summer events. You can’t go wrong with anything from this line. It’s always classic, timeless, and well made.

Wait, you found an Antonio Melani dress at TJ Maxx? Are you sure it’s not a similar sounding brand? I’ve shopped at Dillard’s my whole life and I’d be stunned to hear they were selling overruns from their flagship line to TJ Maxx. (And I love TJ Maxx!) Where was this TJ Maxx that you found it?

The Belinda dress is a repliKate of a dress the duchess wore in Australia last year. Years ago, they did a fabulous repliKate of her blue engagement dress, too.

Saw It On Social: Rooted

A few months ago, my husband killed two of my plants. I was out of town for several weeks, and while I was away, he apparently forgot that plants need water to live. So when I returned, my snake plant and my Calamondin tree were both dead, while his braided money tree continued to thrive. […]

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
