A few months ago, my husband killed two of my plants. I was out of town for several weeks, and while I was away, he apparently forgot that plants need water to live. So when I returned, my snake plant and my Calamondin tree were both dead, while his braided money tree continued to thrive. […]
It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
I love that Bedrock maxi dress. (I almost purchased it last week.) But, looking at the cut in the front and (especially) the back, I have no idea how I could ever wear a bra with it.. unless I just wore a sweater or jacket to hide my visible bra. :/ And yes, I know I could wear half-bra stick-ons, but that is WAY too much work for a comfy, weekend maxi dress!
As long as it isn’t really hot, I find stick on bras way more comfy than strapless bras. Strapless bras always end up either down at my belly button, making my boobs look saggy, or compel me to stick out my stomach in a subconscious attempt to keep them up. Sticky bras give me braless freedom, while still feeling supported and giving my ladies a nice shape. That said, I’m always on a search to find sleeveless dresses with think enough straps that I can wear a bra. Way harder than one might think.
I like a stick on bra, you can buy stronger or flimsier ones depending on your needs. HerRoom is a good place to look.
I just bought the bedrock maxi and it is SO great. I sized down and plan to just safety pin the back until I can get it altered. The fabric is has a nice weight without being too much and the fit is just what you want. It’s flattering and comfortable. I’m planning on wearing it a lot this spring and summer.
