Black Halo Bryson Square Neck Sheath ($345)

This dress is incredible.  It’s classic, sophisticated, and sexy at the same time.  It feels very Audrey Hepburn in Sabrina to me.  It also comes in lipstick red.

Looking for a similar dress that costs a bit less?  This French Connection Dress from Lord & Taylor is a sleek choice.  And while I’ve never purchased anything from Boohoo, they offer a similar dress for just $16.

For something a bit more fun, this dress from Express mixes some of the elements of the Black Halo dress in a youthful way.  And don’t miss this Ann Taylor dress with a structure bow in the back (also in petite).

Plus-size? This Calvin Klein dress is a lovely choice.

For me, The Manhattan is a cocktail that perfectly blends the feminine and masculine.  It’s a pretty cocktail with bite.  Food and Wine has a recipe for the classic cocktail that blends rye, sweet vermouth, bitters, and (of course) a cherry garnish.

You can also buy pre-made Manhattan mixes.  I like the 36th Vote barreled Manhattan from High West.  It’s an easy way to have an evening cocktail without the work.

Happy Hour

I only just now saw this post but I gasped when I saw that dress. It is stunning. The red pumps they have on the model make it even better.

Classics are classic for a reason, after all.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
