M.M. LaFleur Brings Their Pop-Up Shop to D.C.

M.M. LaFleur is a must-stop shop for any professional woman who loves simple glamour.  Over the next two weeks, they’re bringing  their pop-up shop to D.C. from November 15th thru the 23rd.  The shop will be at the District Architecture Center in Penn Quarter (aw, my old neighborhood).  And they’re hosting several events to promote the shop and bring together a great crowd of professional women., including this Sunday’s personal branding event.

Need some shopping suggestions? This Morandi sweater is impossibly warm, and I love this olive-colored Alex dress (it looks great under a cream blazer).

Disclaimer: Several months ago, I discovered M.M. LaFleur and wrote a post about them.  Because of that post, they found me.  Shortly after, I hosted an event for them, for which they compensated me with a dress.  I adore the ladies at M.M.LaFleur and their gorgeous dresses; I wouldn’t promote them otherwise.

I love MM LaFleur too!! Their Etsuko dress is perfection. It is my favorite dress right now!

MM LaFleur is one of my favorites – the Morandi sweater is very cozy, and I love both the Narie and the Etsuko. They’re both well cut, quality basics that can be styled in different ways. I tried the olive Alex too, and I loved it except that the side zip looked really weird with the folds of the dress. If only it was a back zip!

Second that. The dresses are amazing. Morandi is so warm and does not pill after a year of constant use. Also try the Tarantin wrap – it’s versatile, does not wrinkle and is machine washable. I own Alex and receive a ton of compliments each time I wear it. Besides great style, it has flannel-like lining that makes it feel so comfortable.

Beauty Review: Bondi Boost

As I age, I notice many changes in my body. Most are fine. Some are frustrating. Like many women, I lost a lot of hair in my postpartum phase. Being anemic for more than a year after, it didn’t grow back in to its former glory. So I’ve tried any number of shampoos, pills and […]

The Find: Shirts That Don’t Gape

I remember when Rochelle Behrens launched The Shirt — a button-down blouse with anti-gape technology (a patented internal button that keeps the look smooth). The idea seemed brilliant, but at the time, my bust didn’t require an extra button. One baby later, I understand the need for some extra security.
