Stella & Dot Bracelet Bar ($29)

A few weeks ago, I posted an Instagram photo of my jewelry table.  Instead of putting all of my jewelry in a box, I like to be able to see it.  Being able to look at all of my jewelry helps me choose what I want to wear and put together new combinations.

I love the display pieces that Stella & Dot sells.  They’re far cheaper than what you would find in most stores, and they have a great, neutral style to them.  I also recommend this ring and earring box and this necklace tree.

When I bought my bracelet bar from Stella & Dot, I purchased another one to giveaway.  To enter, leave a comment answering the following question: What is your favorite piece of jewelry?  And don’t forget to use your real e-mail address to comment so that I can contact the winner

Good luck!

This bracelet bar is fantastic! I have thought about getting it ever since I saw your closet picture…by the way, thank you for posting your closet pics. I have wondered if your closet was put together neatly and would love a post about your closet basics or more about how you arrange, store or care for your clothing. And really enjoy the blog, so thanks for keeping it up since your move.

My fave piece of practical jewelry (that I wear a lot) is a gold status link bracelet from J. Crew…it looks polished with most outfits and can work with most everything, but I have a Stella & Dot snake bangle that is so much fun when I can wear it. I bought it a few years ago to support a friend who was selling S & D, but it ended up being the best buy!

  37. Tristan says:

My favorite piece of jewelry are the pearl earrings out of a necklace & bracelet set my younger brother bought for me for Christmas one year. We typically only give gifts to the younger kids during the holidays because of our large family so I was quite shocked when he surprised me with them. He said it was for being such an awesome big sis. He passed away a year and a half ago so these definitely hold a special place in my heart. And while the earrings have no business on a bracelet bar, the remaining items of the set do!! Lol

I love my pearl and diamond earrings. They were a gift from my parents.

  39. Cora says:

My two favorite pieces are 1. a wooden necklace I bought years ago at Old Navy, every time I wear it I get tons of complements, 2. a vintage gold necklace I stole from my mom’s closet. These are the perfect go-to pieces that automatically take an outfit up a notch.

  44. Emilie says:

I have 2 favorite pieces of jewelry. The first, my “nice” piece is the 1.5 carat aquamarine and dimon-chip ring I got from my mom when I graduated from college. It’s just a really beautiful piece (and doubles as creepy man repellant at bars when worn on my left hand).

I have old standby’s that are in constant rotationn, but I think my favourite (as in, I would hate to ever lose it) would be the Claddagh ring my grandmother brought me home from Ireland when I was a teenager. It makes me think of her and how excited she was to see her parents’ home country! Thanks for hosting the giveaway Belle!

My dad was stationed in Italy for several months when I was about 10. For my birthday one year, he got me a beautiful cameo ring that I don’t wear nearly enough. It was a little mature for a 10 year old, but it’s such a treasure and I’m so glad he thought about me while he was in Italy.

  61. Amy says:

My most treasured piece of jewelry is the very first piece of jewelry my husband bought me- a diamond tennis bracelet. In addition to the family heirlooms, my favorite piece is the TAG watch I purchased for myself while on a Caribbean cruise. My grandmother was a fabulous woman – the kind of lady who wouldn’t go the grocery store without gloves on. I wear them on days that are more often than not mundane and they make me smile thinking of her!

  173. AK says:

I used to always make fun of southern girls who wear pearls to football games because I’m from the rainy PNW. 178. MidWestChic says:

  205. Blair says:

A gold necklace that was my grandma’s.

  206. Saramel says:

To make the decision easier I chose the piece I’ve been wearing the most often lately. My antique bronze Falling Whistle necklace is surprisingly versatile to dress up the most basic outfit or add an edgy element to something dressier (I especially love it layered in that case). Proceeds go toward peace in the Congo. I won it at a silent auction benefiting a local non-profit so its purchase actually helped two organizations and it’s a great conversation starter. 🙂

  207. Tiffany says:

My secret favorite piece of jewelry is my mom’s wedding ring. It’s just a simple yellow gold band with five round diamonds, the one in the middle the biggest but still understated. It’s my favorite because it’s the ring I always wanted, and always admired it on my mom, but I was never the type to announce such a thing to my boyfriend-now-husband. And it’s also sort of secret, because the reason I have it is not some bittersweet tragedy like my mom died, but my parents divorced, and my mom gave me the ring. So I feel awkward wearing it around family, so I don’t, but I can’t leave it setting in my jewelry box otherwise!

  208. Caroline says:

After my grandmother passed away, my grandfather had the diamonds in her engagement ring turned into earrings and gave them to me when I graduated high school. They’re definitely the piece of jewelry that mean the most to me!

  210. Mae says:

My pearl necklace is a workhorse in my 9-5 life!

My favorite is a pair of monogrammed gold earrings. My sister, sister in law and mom all have them!

  217. Jenn says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a thin necklace with three interlocking circles in the center. I got it off Etsy and got two identical necklaces for my sisters.

  218. CRP says:

My gold name necklace, like the one Carrie wore in Sex and the City. It was my very first purchase with my first paycheck from my first job as a teen in 1994. I still rock it 20 years later!

  219. Keri says:

Mine is my mother’s class ring; I remember seeing it as a young girl and I found it recently when I was looking for my mother’s wedding/engagement rings for her viewing. At that time it was comforting to wear it as a piece of her-now I love the reminder I have her hands. It’s very delicate and very 60s-so pretty!

  220. Katie says:

A gorgeous, big, tricolor gold cocktail ring that my grandmother left me. I had a break-in 6 months back and it is the only piece of fine jewelry not stolen, and the only piece that would have been irreplaceable!

  228. Emily says:

double pearl studs I inherited from my grandmother

  229. Erin says:

I have so many favorite pieces of jewelry! One is an Alex and Ani bracelet that my aunt got me for my graduation gift, another is a blue opal ring that was my grandmothers. Possibly my top favorite is my high school class ring, it’s not big or clunky like a traditional class ring, because I went to a private, all-girls school, it’s a little different. The ring has a slim, elegant, silver band, that widens into a blue stone with the school crest in silver on it. My name is inscribed on the inside of the thin band. I love the ring because it reminds me of how close my small class was, we were all like sisters, and no matter where we are in the world now, we all have that same ring, with our name on the inside.

  230. Miya says:

My favorite is my hook bracelet and ring from St. Croix. I always receive compliments and they are always a conversation starter when I am around people from the Caribbean

  231. Wanda says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a custom made name plate my dad gave to me when I was about 10 years old. He’s a jeweler so every step (from drawing the name, to casting it, to diamond cuts, etc.) was all done by him. I just love it.

  232. Lauren says:

It’s a toss-up between the watch I bought myself when I got my first really big promotion at work and the necklace my mother gave me for my 25th birthday (which her father had given to her on her 25th. The small gold heart pendant with diamonds on a delicate chain will never go out of style.

  233. Allison says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is my tiny elephant necklace from Jcrew! I even have a second one as a backup.

  234. Morgan says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is my grandmother’s wedding ring. The older setting is so classic!

  235. Elise says:

My favorite piece is a diamond ring I inherited from my grandmother. She gave it to me the day I graduated from grad school and I wear it everyday!

  236. Tierra says:

The ring my mom gave me on my 15th birthday remains a favorite of mine. I don’t wear it now because I have an engagement ring on and they are different metals, but I am hoping to pass it on to a daughter of mine one day.

  237. Husna says:

My favorite piece of jewelry (at the moment, as I’m something of an addict!) is a round carnelian ring set in stone recently given to me by my grandmother. She has a matching, larger carnelian stone that I had admired the last time I saw her (she lives overseas, so I don’t see her as often as I’d like) and when she came to the US to visit she surprised me with my own mini-version she had gotten made!

  238. rachel says:

A pair of Kate Spade bow studs- they were a gift from my best friend and I wear them all the time- classic and sentimental

  239. Laura says:

Although I don’t wear it. Its a bubble gum machine ring my husband got me while we were dating. It has a little smile face cut out. I knew he was the one for me at that time.

  240. Martina says:

My fave piece of jewelry is a silver bracelet my mom bought me for graduation from Things Remembered. It has my initials and a little charm that I can customize (though I never remembered to actually have it customized!).

  241. Kate says:

Without a doubt my high school class ring. I wear it every day. Before you think it’s one of those tacky things with a huge fake stone in the middle, it’s a gold signet ring with the school’s monogram. Simple, tasteful, and a wonderful reminder of the years I spent there and the friends I still cherish.

  242. Sara says:

A ring with an engraving that translates to “If not now, when?”

  243. Mica says:

Such a great give away! My grandmother gave me her ring when I was 8. I still wear it although two rubies have fallen out, I plan on replacing them with diamonds. It’s my favorite piece (besides my engagement ring)

  244. Katharyn van der Veen says:

Besides my wedding set, my favorite piece is a rose gold Burberry watch my husband suprised me with for Christmas. We had promised to do no presents last year – but he wanted to give me something special to remind me that I deserve nice things. Now, every time I have a big meeting at work or need an extra shot of courage to face the day, I slip it on and am reminded I am loved!

My gold love knot ring from Max & Chloe

  250. Kate F. says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a ring that was made for my eighteenth birthday.

  251. Leila says:

Hi! Fun contest! My favorite piece is a pearl necklace that belonged to my grandmother. Our family fled Iran during the revolution in 1979 and my grandmother had to leave almost everything behind. She had very few pieces with her in the U.S. so I have memories of her wearing the necklace and photos of her wearing the necklace, and when I wear it, I feel like she’s with me. It’s turned into a good luck charm for me on the days when I need a little more courage. Thanks!

  252. Beth says:

    My grandmother’s cameo

  253. Lauren W. says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a ring my parents gave me for my 21st birthday (and Christmas and my 22nd birthday while they were at it). It’s an emerald (my birthstone) surrounded by a halo of diamonds in a platinum setting. It matches everything and I haven’t gone a day without it in 6 years!

  254. Shauna says:

Like lots of other women who commented, my favourite piece of jewellery is my filigreed diamond wedding ring – but I have plenty of lovely bracelets, including a sterling silver carved band that would look great displayed on a home like this.

  255. Amy says:

My wedding ring. Is that cheesy? I really do love it though and I constantly get complements on it! My baby did good! 🙂

  256. Emily says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a bracelet with black beads made of lava rock that I got on the top of Mount Vesuvius. There was a lady up there selling them – pretty awesome!

  257. Meridith says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is my first investment piece,a long gold necklace. It is simple, but has segments that have small bedazzled sections and larger baubles on it. It helps pull together all of my work outfits and looks great for going out.

  258. Kat says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is my wedding ring. It belonged to my husband’s grandmother and survived 2 world wars. At one point it was broken up and made into 2 rings. When we got married, we decided to make it whole again. It is very simple eternity band but with a lot of history.

  259. KB says:

Aside from the obvious engagement ring/wedding ring answer, my favorite piece of jewelry is the peridot ring given to me by my parents at Christmas following the death of my grandfather. It was his birthstone and each time I look at it, I am reminded of him.

  260. Julie says:

Thanks for the giveaway! My favorite piece of jewelry is the diamond initial “T” bracelet that my husband gave me after the birth of our son. 🙂

  261. Michelle says:

My mother-in-law gave me a small ruby-and-diamond pendant that she’d bought years ago and thought was now was “too small” for her since she’d put on weight. It’s the perfect size on me, and the vintage jewelry is so much nicer and better-quality than anything I’ve seen in a store lately! I love it and wear it all the time 🙂

  262. Pancakes says:

Does my watch count? Without it, I’d be lost. If not, then my pearl studs…they go with everything.

  263. Elle says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a Swarovski ring my daughter gave me. She picked it out and paid for it on her own when she was 8 and it means the world to me!

  264. Mel says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is my bracelet-style watch. Pretty and functional.

  265. Sarah says:

I’m obsessed with the pearls (necklace, bracelet, earrings and a ring!) my parents gave me for my college graduation. They’re the best!

  266. Elyse G. says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is my great grandmother’s white gold necklace. It is such a unique piece and I feel connected to my family every time I wear it. *fingers crossed*

This weekend was a tricky one. The warm weather and bright sunshine of last weekend disappeared in a flurry of wet snow trapping our very active 18-month-old in the house with us. Plus, our babysitter cancelled, so neither of us feels ready for the week ahead. But in between making mac-and-cheese and watching Aristocats for […]
