H&M Blue-Dotted Blouse ($25)

If you plan to wear a cardigan or a jacket to work, I highly recommend that you skip the camisole and opt for a sleeveless blouse.  Committee rooms filled with staff can be hot, the A/C in your conference room can break, or a lunch-time walk with colleagues can necessitate taken off your top layer.  In that moment, do you really want to be wearing a strappy camisole?

This tie-neck blouse from H&M has a great neutral pattern that is perfect for pairing with bright colors or other neutrals.  Also from H&M, I like this light beige blouse with a v-neck and this white peplum top.

Another great top is this black and white Nipon top with a tie-neck.  This pleated-neck Jones New York top comes in three great colors.  Banana Republic also has a great v-neck top in neutrals and prints (also in petite and tall).

Plus-size? This split-neck Calvin Klein top is nice, as is this pale aqua blouse from Jones New York.  Petite? The pattern on this tie-dye Vince Camuto top is cool, and I like this striped Riviera blouse from BR (also in misses).

Extra Petite did a good review of that H&M blouse. She notes it’s almost sheer.

I actually have the Nipon Boutique tie neck blouse and love it. Originally I was not impressed because it is very thin, but I don’t mind that for the spring/summer with a cardigan or blouse on top. I love this H&M blouse too!

Add to Cart: Five Recent Amazon Purchases

Since my daughter was born, Amazon has claimed so much of my money that I had to buy stock just to get some of it back.  Between the formula, onesies, fruit pouches, diapers, wipes, and ever evolving list of baby development gear, I could not survive without Prime.   My husband no longer notices the […]
