Happy Hour: Watermelon-Cucumber Cooler

May 30, 2014

Two words: Light and refreshing.  This cocktail has watermelon, cucumber, lime juice and honey for flavor, and vodka for kick.  This makes it an inexpensive cocktail to make because it doesn’t require a wide selection of liquor.  This drink is perfect for serving at parties and barbecues.

Paintrbush Stripe Dress ($89)

I like fun, colorful dresses for weekend parties.  This striped dress (also in blue and petites) is right up my alley.  This jersey dress, also from LOFT, has a candy-colored stripe that’s really fun.

This Lilly Pulitzer dress has a wisteria-colored print.  This Eliza J dress has a red print and a high neck halter that would also be good for a wedding guest or a rehearsal dinner.  This Cynthia Steffe cotton dress has a fun print and unique shape, it’s not for everyone, but it could be cute.  I also like the mix of neutrals and brights in this floral print dress from House of Fraser.

Plus-size? This bright floral print dress with a full skirt is a lovely choice, it also comes in misses size.  I also like this short-sleeve wrap dress from Land’s End.

Petite?  This Boden dress has a fun, bright print (also in tall sizes).  And this dotted Eliza J dress with a fun, pink hue is the best dress that I’ve seen in a long time (also in misses).

Happy Hour

I bought the dotted Eliza J in blue last year but have been struggling on how to style it. I wore it recently but felt kind of blah (which is weird because it’s an amazing dress that fits great). I’d appreciate your thoughts!

  2. I loved the Cynthia Steffe dress!! Wow, such a cute style and fun print!! Thanks for sharing Belle..

I think this is the first time I’ve already bought a dress BEFORE you posted it. I’ve learned well. 🙂
