Belle’s Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale Picks

May 22, 2014

Yesterday, I showed you my favorite dresses from the Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale.  Today, I thought I’d go over the other discounted styles that would be a welcome addition to my closet (or yours).

rsz_screen_shot_2014-05-21_at_93953_pmJoe’s Laney Pump ($90) // Sam Edelman Camdyn Pump ($67) // Halogen Sonia Sandal ($67) // Dolce Vita Agusta Flat ($99)

Shoes.  What would a Nordstrom sale be if we didn’t start with the shoes?  These Joe’s pumps are fashion forward, comfortable for a heel of this height and they pack a style punch.  They also come in four gorgeous color combinations.

These Edelman pumps are a great all-purpose professional shoe, and the sale is not hurting for professional pumps.  The Coach Chambers pumps have been on my wish list for quite some time.  If you’re after basic pumps, these Ivanka Trump Indico pumps and these red Sariah pumps are both fab.  And if it’s wedges you’re after, try these L.K. Bennett wedges or these Via Spiga wedges with the round toe.

I finally pulled the trigger on these snakeskin and tan Dolce Vita flats.  I own their high-heeled counterparts.  If you’re a flats girl, don’t miss these gold Edelman flats and these Leta d’Orsay flats.  I also like these silver snake-embossed flats from Vince Camuto.

Eileen Fisher Mandarin Blouse ($118) // Classiques Entier Lace Top ($118) // Wallis Moving Tiger Sweater ($41) // Alice + Olivia Camille Tee ($117)

Tops.  I’m in the market for blouses to wear with jeans and skirts.  I love the look of this coral Eileen Fisher top.  If you’re looking for something similar for less money, this $40 Sandra Ingrish tunic is a great choice.  Texture is a great way to spice up your wardrobe and this lace top is just the piece to do it.  It also comes in black if white isn’t your first choice.

Sweaters might seem like a strange choice for a sale in May, but if I see something special, I like to snap it up regardless of season.  This giraffe-print sweater is an interesting piece, and this short-sleeve Halogen sweater is not to be missed.  This boxy black blouse would look great with white trousers or white denim.  If you’d like the same look for less, try this Tildon blouse for $27.

Plus-size? This Sejour split-neck top is available up to size 24, and this green, roll-sleeve blouse is fun.  Petite?  This VC pale pink sleeveless top is adorable.  I also like this colorblock cotton cardigan in black and white.

Miscellaneous. In addition to blouses and shoes, I use the Nordstrom sales to buy athletic attire.  I picked up these Zella leggings in a crazy color pattern and this side vent tank.  The sale is also a great time to pick up lingerie and intimates.  And if you’re ready for summer like I am, don’t miss the swimsuits and coverups on sale.

  1. I love d’orsay flats. I finally pulled the trigger on these: https://www.neimanmarcus.com/Tory-Burch-Viv-Lizard-Print-d-Orsay-Flat-Natural/prod165250088/p.prod. I can’t wait for them to arrive.

  2. Joules says:

I’m really liking all of your shoe picks! That first pair reminds me of a pair of rebecca minkoff pumps I’ve been coveting but can’t really afford.

  3. E says:

I have that Classiques Entier lace top, and I totally recommend it! It’s flattering and the material under the lace is substantial enough that it hangs well and doesn’t over-cling.

  4. Lady Macbeth says:

There is some strange photoshopping(?) happening in the Alice and Olivia Camille Tee picture.
