Three Dots Twist Dress ($118)

Earlier today, we talked about dresses for work.  This dress from Three Dots is my favorite thing in my wardrobe right now.  It really does everything, it’s like the Swiss Army knife of dresses.  It can be worn on the weekend, on casual days or after work.  The twist also helps conceal and smooth the stomach.

With flat cognac sandals and a simple hobo bag, it’s perfect for the weekend.  With a skinny snake belt through the middle of the twist and a black flat, it’s good for casual Friday.  Or pair it with a high-heel sandal and a colored necklace for dinner with friends.

Amazon has a larger selection of sizes, and the dress also comes in a pink-purple.  The dress also comes in a long-sleeve version on sale for $45 and a 3/4 sleeve version for $54.

Plus-size?  Try this knot-front dress from Lord & Taylor.  Petite? This Donna Ricco twist-front dress has a v-neck and a 3/4 sleeve (also in misses).

I’m loving the looks* of this dress, especially how “[t]he twist also helps conceal and smooth the stomach.” However, the fabric looks like it will easily show the lines of undergarments. Would you comment on this, Belle?

    *High neckline and sleeves!

    • Belle says:

I do wear the bare Hanky Panky undies with it instead of the lace ones to prevent VPL. I don’t need a shaper with it, but the fabric doesn’t have a lot of structure to it.

  2. “the swiss army knife of dresses” love it 🙂

This looks like the most practical dress ever. I’m curious, have you washed it yet? Did it shrink?

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
