1. Topshop Bonded Peplum Jacket ($110) // 2. Yosi Samra Campbelle Sandal ($130) and Club Monaco Eve Sandal ($140) // 3. Wallis Printed Shift ($78) // 4. Tai Stone Stud Earrings ($40) // 5. Bahailiu Top Handle ($225) // 6. J.Crew Flutter Sleeve Top ($70)

One. How sweet is this jacket?  I love the structured peplum and the color palette.  It would look great over a sleek black sheath or with skinny, distressed denim.

This silvery-grey Philosophy jacket has a similar look for under-$75.  I also found this really cool dress from WHBM with peplum, printed top and a pencil skirt bottom.  It’s perfect for the office, and just $80.

Two. One day of nice weather and I am ready for flat sandals.  They’re my second favorite shoe, next to tall boots.  This pair from Yosi Samra would look great with a black cotton dress, and the Club Monaco pair would look good with anything.

Need cheaper sandal options?  Bloomingdale’s has some great pairs in the $50-$100 range, like these Ivanka Trump sandals in a mix of tan and gold.  Nordstrom also has some cute choices for under-$100, including these Steve Madden’s, which would be great for casual Friday.

Three. This dress has a throwback style with a top that makes the dress look like it’s two pieces, but isn’t.  It would be great for work or dinners out. They also make a similar style in navy blue lace, perfect for summer weddings. Wallis has some lovely dresses for sale right now, but like with all UK e-tailers, make sure to read the return and shipping info carefully.

Four. If you need to bring a little color into your wardrobe, bright or pastel earrings are a good choice.  I think having the color next to your face makes more of an impact than wearing it on your fingers or wrists.  In the under-$25 category, I found these fuchsia Edelman studs and these mint, cluster studs from Betsey Johnson.

Five. A pale pink purse would be a great bag for summer if you’re not feeling a bolder color like red or cobalt.  In the under-$100 range, this Olivia and Joy satchel really caught my eye.  Prefer your pink less pale?  This Relic satchel comes in a hue somewhere between shell and coral.

Six. Cap sleeves are a good choice for warmer weather because they offer a bit of coverage and style.  I like these flutter sleeves because they bring some lightness to the look.  This Ann Taylor top offers a similar look in pale grey or navy print (also in petites).  This embroidered top from Express also has a great look to it and comes in white and black.  Plus-size? Try this Land’s End top with a fluttery sleeve.

FYI – I’ve seen that same exact Wallis dress with a different brand slapped on it at Nordstrom Rack for around $40.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
