Old Navy Jersey Belt Maxi ($34)

The wares at Old Navy are very hit or miss.  Some pieces I love, some pieces are so cheaply made that it’s laughable.  I’ve always had good luck with their jersey dresses, however.  I like the neckline on this maxi.  This fit-and-flare ponte dress also looks like a winner.  I also found this cross-front jersey dress, and I own this rugby-stripe dress.  The weight of the material is good, it’s a little too short for work though.

Old Navy also has a few other products that I’ve had good luck with.  The loungewear is great if you’re looking for something comfortable and inexpensive to wear around the house.  I like their Active hoodies and their drawstring, jersey skinny pants.  Their outerwear is also good.  I like the look of this lightweight tie jacket.

Old Navy is one of the few brands that makes regular, petite, tall and plus-size pieces.  So there really is a little something for everyone.  And if none of the clothes catch your eye, these sleek D’orsay flats look pretty good to me.

I recently perused Old Navy (can’t remember why) and was pleasantly surprised at the selection I found. I remember it being nothing but badly fitting jeans, cheap flip flops, and t-shirts, but it seems like they’ve gotten a bit more fashionable recently. Good picks.

Has anyone tried the Pixie pant that Amy Poehler is advertising? Are they as magical as they claim?

  3. Abby says:

As a tall lady, I peruse Old Navy often. Just picked up the cross front dress and fit and flare in tall. Especially happy with the cross-front. Just a note–with the fit and flare, you’ll have to wear a racerback bra!

  4. KS says:

Old Navy’s Active line is fantastic.. I like the leggings I bought there just as much as the $80 ones I bought from Lulu. I own many compression capris and full-length leggings and LOVE them- great for running and hot yoga

  5. Old Navy was pretty much the only place where I could find cute, cheap maternity wear a few years ago. I still wear one of the jersey dresses (with a belt!). It’s held up through a few summers, and I’m not exactly careful with it.

  6. Megan says:

I LOVE Old Navy’s workout clothes. I’m really furious with them about jeans at the moment, though. I have 3 pairs of the rockstar jeans in the same size and all 3 fit differently. According to the tags, they’re identical. I’ve tried to replace them since 2 ripped, but I cannot get a pair of the exact same jeans to fit. It’s really infuriating.

  7. Ashley says:

Thanks for this post. I’ve been wanting to get a maxi dress or two for the summer without breaking the bank, and I completely forgot about Old Navy. And to echo the others’ sentiments – Old Navy’s active wear is great.

  8. GingerR says:

I’ve never had a pair of pants from Old Navy, nothing no matter what the style, works for me.
However, I love their button-up shirts and tanks.
It’s worth a swing through periodically.

  9. Thank you. Just bought some clothes from Old Navy. I forget they have petites online.

  10. Sarah says:

I have two pairs of the Pixie pants. They’re great, but I would advice going up a size if you don’t want them suck-the-body tight. I haven’t worn them enough to know how well they hold up to multiple wears and washes.

  11. J says:

I absolutely love workout clothes and PJs from old navy but that’s pretty much it. I haven’t had great luck with the fit of their dresses. They look good online but fit my body in a really strange way. I was hoping to have good luck with jeans since they sell them in a short length for petites but they are definitely poor quality, they ripped after 2 or 3 wears.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
