The Shopbop Sale Begins

It’s time for the Shopbop progressive savings sale.  While not as beloved as the 20-percent-off-everything sale, this one is pretty good too.  The trick is to pick one or two items for the coming season and then stock up on essentials like Hanky Pankys and tights.

If you’re looking for work clothes for the coming spring, I’d hit the Workwear Boutique first.  Yes, what Shopbop defines as career wear is sometimes perplexing, but there are more hits than misses.

I have my eye on this Club Monaco shift in black and white.  I also like these beige Sam Edelman Flats and these scalloped snakeskin Loeffler Randall pumps.  And since summer is (hopefully) around the corner, this Splendid tank maxi is also on my list.

Lastly, if you’re in the market for a $250+ handbag, see if they have it at Shopbop.  Last year, I replaced my Minkoff MAB at 25%-off.  Saved me almost $100 on a bag I was going to buy anyway.

Your blog is such a great resource for workwear! Great picks! What is your experience in Club Monaco fit and sizing?

Take your usual size, but the pieces can be a bit boxy, esp. the tops.

So after hours of browsing, I ended up buying both shoes you recommended above plus Alice + Olivia suede heels. I actually have been looking for nude-goes-with-everything heels but then I looked closely at the LR pumps and said “those are my shoes!”

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
